Bounce Over to a Superball Discovery Lab | Every Saturday in February you can bounce into the Fleet's Discovery Lab to explore Superball Science. Kids ages 5 to 12 will learn the science behind the different size, shape, and weight of balls used in their favorite sports and games. The highlight of the day is sure to be making a super bouncy ball to take home! Special activities are just $2 with admission.

Join Climate Conversations
| Eric J. Fetzer, a research scientist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, specializes in satellite observations of Earth's atmosphere. He will visit the Fleet to kick off the first "Climate Conversations" program of 2011. Eric's lecture, "Humans and changing climate: It's more than warming and fossil fuels," will examine some of the ways humans are changing the Earth's climate in surprising ways.

New Exhibition Opening Soon
| "Cellular Journey" is a one of a kind, Fleet created and community developed project made possible by a grant from the Life Technologies Foundation, a non-profit arm of Life Technologies Corporation based in Carlsbad, CA. This exciting new exhibition will take visitors inside the unseen world of human cell biology, introduce them to some of the real life techniques scientists use in a lab when working with stem cells, and examine future areas of research and the potential risks, challenges and controversy surrounding this evolving field of science. Exhibition opens Saturday, March 19.
