"Kid City" Gets a New Look

 Families with "Kid City" age children, 5 and under, mark your calendar for Saturday, October 23! You don't want to miss the reopening of "Kid City." Young visitors will love exploring the new features in the exhibition including a new city layout, fire truck, infant area, and more. All of the exciting updates to "Kid City" have been made possible by generous gifts and grants from the Donald C. and Elizabeth M. Dickinson Foundation, the Nierman Family Fund at the San Diego Jewish Community Foundation, an Anonymous Donor, the Mandell Weiss Charitable Trust, and sponsorships from ScholarShare College Savings Plan and Fidelity Investments. Please note: "Kid City" will be closed for renovations October 11 - 22. Members: Save-the-date for the morning of Friday, October 22, for a special members-only preview of the new and improved "Kid City." Watch for an e-mail with details in the coming weeks! | Take Part in Balboa Park Halloween Family Day |
 Kids 17 and under admitted free with paid adult admission! Fun "pumpkin anatomy" activity will be happening in the refreshed "Kid City" exhibition for preschool age children (11AM - 3PM).  The Fleet offers San Diego's only presentation of Spanish language IMAX films on the third Sunday of each month. The October feature - BEARS - will bring you closer than ever before to some of the world's largest terrestrial animals in the full glory of their natural habitat. Crawl inside a den with a mother black bear and her cubs, catch salmon with a group of hungry grizzlies, and learn why protecting these animals benefits wildlife and people everywhere.
