June: Father's Day weekend and Earth Exposed
New Exhibition: "Earth Exposed"
Earth Exposed logo This summer, come face to face with erupting geysers, crumbling mountains, and wind driven waves at the new 5,000 square foot exhibition, "Earth Exposed." Nature is a work in progress, and this collection of more than 25 exhibits allows you to get up-close and hands-on with many of the fundamental forces that continually shape and reshape the planet.

Please note the Main Exhibit Gallery will be closed Monday, June 7 - Friday June 18 during the change-over in exhibitions from "Motion Mania" to "Earth Exposed." The Fleet Science Center's seven other hands-on galleries including, "Kid City" and "Block Busters!" will remain open during the exhibition installations.

Father's Day (Weekend) at the Fleet - FREE for Dads!
Proud father Together with Dad, enjoy the new exhibition "Earth Exposed" or build a tall tower together in "Block Busters!"  Dads receive Free Gallery Admission Saturday, June 19 or Sunday, June 20 *with the purchase of one full-price gallery admission ticket, on the same day. You can also add on an IMAX film to your gallery admission for just $4.50/adult and $3/child/senior. Paid admission may be Adult, Junior or Senior. No other discounts accepted.  Purchase at ticket counter.

Mysteries of the Nile Join us for our monthly screening of an IMAX film entirely in Spanish! The June feature is MYSTERY OF THE NILE. In this film, you'll encounter dangerous rapids, hippos and crocodiles and the beauty of ancient cultures from Ethiopia to Egypt as you travel the world's longest river from source to source.

Membership Reminder: Member reservations for IMAX and planetarium shows must be claimed at least 20 minutes before show time; always allow extra time for parking. Reservations not claimed 20 minutes in advance may be released for sale to the general public.

Deals & Discounts for Military
American Flag As a reminder, the Fleet supports our local military and their families every day of the year! The Fleet offers 12 free admission days per year to military and their families to enjoy the Science Center's exhibit galleries for free, and IMAX films discounted to $8.50 per person. Free admission for military and their dependents is offered on the first Tuesday of each month. Upcoming Free Tuesdays are: July 1, July 6, August 3 and September 7. Vouchers - good for one IMAX film and all exhibit galleries - may be purchased at a 20% discount from MWR ticket offices throughout San Diego. Visit our Web site for a complete list of ticket offices. Every day of the year, members of the military and their family receive a 10% discount on admission, tasty food from Galileo's Café, and cool science gadgets from the North Star Science Store.
