Wine, Vines & Climate Science |
Test your taste buds
and wet your wine palate during a special "Climate Conversations"
program. Visit the Fleet to meet
wine and climate science experts for a unique presentation on the effects of
the climate on wine. You'll learn
about our local grape growing climate, local wine production and more during a
special wine tasting reception that will be followed by a panel discussion and
question and answer session.

"Kid City" Renovation: Phase 1
|
"Kid City," our
exhibition for kids age 5 and under will undergo renovations April 12 - 16 and
reopen to the public with a new look on Saturday, April 17. Additions include a custom "Ball Wall"
with multiple chutes, tracks, pinwheels and other moving objects; a "Kid's Lab"
with hands-on activities; "Discovery Boxes," and a touch-station featuring a
magnifying camera for up-close exploration. An expanded grocery store will also feature a kid-size
delivery vehicle for loading and unloading groceries and produce. Phase 2, to be completed in November
2010 will feature additional upgrades to the exhibition based on your feedback.

Public Challenger Mission + IMAX Discount

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the launch of the Hubble Space Telescope with a simulated mission to the moon. A realistic Mission Control mock-up and a 21st Century Space Station will introduce you to the teamwork, technology and drama involved in space travel. Work in teams to solve real-life science, technology and math problems using our unique, hands-on space simulators. This is a great opportunity for families to travel to space together! Plus, you can see the IMAX film HUBBLE for only $5 when you participate in the Public Challenger Mission.
