New Programming for Preschoolers
Young ScientistsYoung Scientists is a new hands-on preschool program taught at the Fleet by our Early Childhood Educators. Explore the scientific wonders of the world and inspire the young scientist in your life! This program is open to children ages 3 - 5 with an accompanying adult. Each 4-week series is held on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and includes access to the Fleet's one-hundred plus hands-on exhibits before they open to the public. From outer space to kitchen chemistry, preschoolers will learn about science through questioning, investigation and experimentation.

Spend Grandparents Day at the Fleet
Grandparents Bring your grandparents to the Fleet on Grandparents Day for FREE! On Sunday, September 13, Grandma or Grandpa can receive free admission when accompanied by a paying child. Limit one free adult or senior admission per paying child. Both admissions must be for the same experience. Not applicable with other discounts.

IMAX en Español: WILD CALIFORNIA
IMAX En Espanol Don't miss the Fleet's monthly IMAX en Español film series. This month you can see ADVENTURES IN WILD CALIFORNIA in Spanish. In this highflying journey across the Golden State, audiences will twirl on thermals above the clouds over Mission Bay with skysurfers; swim through the ocean with otters; excavate the heart of a thirty-story tall Giant Sequoia with botanists; and emerge from under the spray of one of California's biggest surfable waves.

Captioning Service Update
Close Caption iconImproved captioning services are available for hearing impaired adults and children at no additional admission cost during select IMAX films. The use of a Rear Window display unit for closed captioning at your seat is offered in a select number of seats in the upper balcony. Current films playing in the Heikoff Dome Theater with closed captioning services include UNDER THE SEA and WILD CALIFORNIA and the September Limited Engagement films.

Membership imageIf you're curious about the night sky and distant planets, our monthly planetarium show is your ticket to adventure! Held on the first Wednesday of each month, The Sky Tonight presents the sky in San Diego as it appears on the night of the planetarium show, as well as special topics in astronomy. Best of all, members receive a discount. (If you're an Adventurer ($150) and above member, admission is free for you and your family.) To make a reservation for Sept. 2, call (619) 238-1233.
