Celebrate the International Year of Astronomy at the Fleet's full-day spring break camps, April 6 - 10. Explore the outer reaches of the Solar System in our new "Giant Worlds" exhibition, learn about space travel by building rockets, and blast off on a simulated mission to the International Space Station in our Nierman Challenger Learning Center. Exploring Ethics
Exploring EthicsJoin us on the first Wednesday of each month as we partner with the Center for Ethics in Science and Technology for a public discussion forum.  In March, a panel of experts, along with audience participation, will discuss the role of robots in our lives. Esteemed panelists include Vernor Vinge, a science fiction author, and Larry Hinman of the University of San Diego.

Biosciences DayThe Fleet is partnering with Scripps Research Institute, Salk Institute & UCSD for a day of hands-on science activities. IMAX en Español presents: THE HUMAN BODY
IMAX En EspanolOn March 15, the Fleet Science Center's monthly "IMAX en Español" film screening will feature THE HUMAN BODY. This film incorporates groundbreaking computer graphics with stunning real-life images to create a day in the life of a human body. Featuring a soundtrack entirely in Spanish, this special public screening takes place at 6 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month. Normal film prices apply.

San Diego Science Festival
San Diego Science FestivalThe Fleet Science Center is one of several participating museums in the first and largest science festival of its kind on the West Coast. During the month of March, more than 500 activities across the county will explore the sciences. From the science of earthquakes to the physics of skateboarding, the San Diego Science Festival promises to make science accessible, interactive and fun, highlighting the impact of science and innovation on our lives.

San Diego Latino Film FestivalSan Diego's 16th annual Latino Film Festival runs from March 12-22 at the UltraStar Cinemas at Hazard Center. The Fleet Science Center is proud to support the Festival's free student screenings and education programs, along with family film screenings of Cine'mation and Para la Familia.
