"Evolution: Whose Responsibility is it?"
Evolution at the Reuben H. FleetFebruary marks the 150th anniversary of the publishing of Charles Darwin's seminal work, On the Origin of the Species. For the scientific community, Darwin's theory of evolution is not a questionable proposition, but rather a scientific principle fundamental to our understanding of biology. Despite the overwhelming scientific consensus on evolutionary theory, debate about including evolution in science education continues. What is the reason for this apparent disconnect?  Whose responsibility is it to bridge the gap between science and science policy?  RSVPs are requested for this popular lecture series.
