Kennedy Jr. and anthropologist Wade Davis as they embark on a critical mission of water conservation and river restoration. Narrated by Robert Redford and featuring music by Dave Matthews Band, GRAND CANYON ADVENTURE combines science, adventure and breathtaking natural beauty to deliver an uplifting message of hope and inspiration. Afternoon Scholars Lecture: "Genetic Mutations"
DNAGenetic mutations - or changes to the genome - are necessary to generate the diversity required for evolution, but they're also responsible for drug-resistant bacteria and play central roles in cancer and aging. Join Dr. Floyd Romesberg from the Scripps Research Institute to discover how today's research may one day prevent antibiotic-resistant bacteria or the development of cancer in human cells. After the lecture, step into the IMAX Dome Theater for a special 2 p.m. screening of FORCES OF NATURE.

Our second annual Biosciences Day will offer fun, interactive activities for all ages, an up-close look at advanced technologies and a chance to meet the local scientists on the leading edge of bioscience research.

Strange MatterOnly a few spots are left for our "strangest" Spring Camp ever! "All That Matters: the Art and Science of Materials" is a week-long camp where young explorers (grades 1-2 and 3-4) can explore bizarre and exciting materials in our science lab then create works of art at the Spanish Village Art Center. Latino Film FestivalSan Diego's 15th annual Latino Film Festival runs from March 6-16 at the UltraStar Cinemas at Hazard Center. The Fleet Science Center is proud to support the Festival's free student screenings and education programs, along with a Family Film Day on Sunday, March 16.

Priority Registration for Fleet Education Programs
Fleet members can register early for all of our education programs, including our Summer Science Camps for kids! Priority member registration for summer camps runs from March 15 - 31 and will be available online or via telephone. Members also receive discounts on camps and all of our programs.
