Things are getting strange at the Fleet!
|
You'll discover alien landscapes hidden deep inside everyday materials, play with mysterious liquids that defy gravity and get a glimpse into where the future of materials research might lead. Join us on Saturday, Feb. 9 for the "Strange Matter" Bizarre Opening Day Bazaar, with fun activities, goofy games and wacky challenges for all ages. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., you'll get up close with ordinary materials that behave in extraordinary ways.

Science Meets Art at our New Spring Camp
|
Registration is now open for our newest Spring Camp, "All That Matters: The Art and Science of Materials." Young explorers (grades 1-4) will discover strange and exciting materials in the science lab then create works of art in the studio at this week-long camp held at the Fleet Science Center and the nearby Spanish Village Art Center! Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Camp dates: March 17 - 21

CHRONOS: Special Edition

If you haven't experienced a "classic" IMAX film recently at our weekly "Fridays at the Fleet" film festival, you won't want to miss this one! See the critically-acclaimed film CHRONOS as never before... with subtitles! CHRONOS(1985) is a groundbreaking celebration of nature and art and tells the story of Western civilization through a symphony of sound, images and time lapse photography. Afternoon Scholars: "Exploring Mars"
