Lean & Green Award

Lean and Green Award
The Mount Washington Cog Railway receives 2010 Lean & Green Small Company Award, presented by BusinessNH Magazine.

The Cog Railway was honored with the award for its new biodiesel technology. The advent of biodiesel continues the tradition of innovation and improvement that has characterized the Cog Railway since 1869, from being the first mountain climbing cog railway in the world to the solar-powered track switches installed in 2007.

Read the submitted essay resulting in the award here.
