CETPA is excited to announce that we were awarded a grant from the Garrett Lee Smith Youth Suicide Prevention Project from the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) and as part of our commitment to our communities, we formally invite you to attend our first Gwinnett Suicide Prevention Coalition meeting. 

 

Certainly, suicide is a significant problem in Gwinnett County and Georgia.  Suicide affects youth (is the third leading cause of death in 10-24 years age group after accidents and homicides), adults, seniors (elderly have the highest overall suicide rate of all age groups) including all races, religions, and social backgrounds.

 

The good news is that suicide can be prevented!  With this in mind, The Gwinnett Suicide Prevention Coalition will meet on Friday, February 25, 2011 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the new facilities of the Prevention Department of CETPA located at:

En CETPA estamos emocionados de anunciar que se nos han otorgado fondos de un proyecto de prevención de suicidio de jóvenes Garrett Lee Smith del Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) y como parte de nuestro compromiso con nuestras comunidades, formalmente le invitamos a asistir a nuestra primera reuniόn de la Coaliciόn de Prevenciόn de Suicidio de Gwinnett.

 

Ciertamente, el suicidio es un problema significativo en el condado de Gwinnett y en Georgia.  El suicidio afecta la juventud (es la tercera causa de muerte en las personas entre 10-24 años, después de accidentes y homicidios), adultos, ancianos (los envejecientes tienen la incidencia más alta de todos los grupos por edad) incluyendo todas las razas, religiones, y estatus social.

  

¡Las buena noticia es de que el suicidio puede prevenirse!  Con esto en mente, la Coaliciόn de Prevenciόn de Suicidio de Gwinnett se va a reunir el viernes, 25 de febrero del 2011 desde las 9:30 AM hasta las 11:00 AM en las nuevas facilidades del Departamento de Prevenciόn de CETPA. localizadas en:
