- Provides 14 listening posts on the territory of this synod for synod leadership to hear your thoughts and prayers about the core questions;
- Leads into two conference assemblies, January - April, where more conversation will happen;
- Prepares us for the election of a bishop in June;
- Facilitates continuing conversation through an online blog; and more!
The first Listening Post is scheduled for Thursday evening, September 20, at Trindle Spring Church, Mechanicsburg. The conversation begins at 7:00 PM.

Christ Church Celebrates 200th Anniversary Year
September 21-23
This year of 2012 marks the 200th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone of the Christ Church, York building, and the 279th anniversary of the first recorded baptism at the church. To mark these two occasions, anniversary celebrations are planned for the weekend of September 21 through 23. Read more about these celebrations through history, music and worship.

The Rev. Beth Garber Martini was installed as pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Duncannon, on Sunday, September 16. The Rev. Miriam Nicholson, dean of the Perry Conference, installed Pastor Martini. Pastor Connie Youse (Camp Kirchenwald) served as preacher.
The Rev. Debra K. Ernst was installed as chaplain at Spang Crest, Lebanon, on Sunday, September 16. Pastor Ernst, formerly rostered in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the ELCA, began her ministry at Spang Crest on August 20. The Rev. Andrew Evenson, dean of the Lebanon Conference and member of the Luthercare board of directors, installed Pastor Ernst. The Rev. Lisa M. Leber, director of church relations for Luthercare, preached. Spang Crest is a nursing care center and personal care home of Luthercare, an ELCA social ministry organization headquartered in Lititz, PA.
The Rev. Caitlin Glass will be installed as pastor of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, New Kingstown, on Sunday, September 30, at 3:00 PM. The Rev. Bill Weiser, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Robesonia, PA will preach and the Rev. Gwenn Trout, dean of the West Shore Conference, will install Pastor Glass. Clergy are invited to vest and process. The color for the day is green. A reception will follow the service. Click here for directions to the church.

100 Wells Tour to Stop in Gettysburg

David Scherer (Agape), Rachel Kurtz and Lost & Found, are out on the road this fall as part of a post-Youth Gathering concert tour called The 100 Wells Tour. The tour supports ELCA World Hunger's 100 Wells Challenge, a ministry designed to help dig wells to make potable drinking water available in one hundred villages, where drinking water is scarce.
