Local 802 Election Information, Holiday Party

Polls are open from 10am to 8pm at the following locations:

Local 802 - 322 West 48th St.
Local 802 Long Island office - Plainview, 54 Sunnyside Blvd
West Side YMCA - 5 West 63rd St.

All voting is by secret ballot.

The election is being administered by the American Arbitration Association as it has in the past with the addition of a third polling site near Lincoln Center. Ballots will be counted following the close of the polls.

To be eligible to vote a person must be a member in good standing having paid dues through the third quarter prior to 9/30/09. Musicians who joined the union after 6/30/09 are not eligible to vote.

You must show your paid up membership card or photo I.D. to vote. If you do not have either one, come to the 802 membership department on the second floor of union headquarters with other documentation. If you are unsure whether you are eligible to vote, call the membership department at 212-245-4802 and ask before you make the trip to the polls.

MusiCares, in conjunction with AFM Local 802 and Smile New York, is proud to offer New York City-area musicians and music industry professionals the opportunity to participate in our dental clinic. Services will include a dental exam, simple cleaning and bitewing x-rays. These services will be provided FREE OF CHARGE to pre-screened, pre-approved music professionals with limited income upon establishing eligibility. A minimum of five years documented career history or credit on at least six recorded tracks/videos is required.
