      The lock out is over, there is no picketing in midtown  tonight. The musicians are going back to work.  The producers of Tony n Tins's Wedding signed the 802 contract last night.
 
           Many thanks to the members and staff who joined the 802 protest actions at the venue, sent emails and made phone calls.  This is a good win for the union.

Musicians at Village Light Opera Group Locked Out!

   Musicians have worked with a union contract for the Village Light Opera Group (VLOG) for over seventeen years. The Union and VLOG were negotiating a renewal contract. In this circumstance, VLOG is required to continue employing 16  musicians for its upcoming production.  Instead, the Village Light Opera Group refused and is  employing  zero musicians!
 
            Local 802 is protesting the lockout of musicians by Village Light Opera Group tonight Saturday, Nov. 14 2009 in front of Pace University, 3 Spruce Street, NYC at 7:00 PM.
