Local 802 is collecting toys, clothes and food for charity. Every person who donates will receive a free raffle ticket. The winner and prize will be announced at the Local 802 holiday party on Wednesday.
Here's what's needed: canned and non-perishable food items, baby food, new toys, games, books, stuffed animals, hats, scarves and gloves. The charities are the Federation of Protestant Welfare Charities and City Harvest.

Referral Service Announcement!
The Musicians' Referral Service is now listing job postings in the members section of the Local 802 web site. On a trial basis we will be listing various kinds of jobs that come into the Referral Service. Those interested in performing or sidelining, go to our website and log in as a member to view the latest postings. Please review the postings carefully to be sure your skills match the job requirements.
About the Referral Service:
Most of the requests that come through the referral service are for single engagements. These requests often come from the general public looking to hire musicians for private parties, corporate events, wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions, bar and bat mitzvahs, etc. To a lesser extent, calls also come in from other Unions, TV & Film producers, Record Companies & jingle houses.
