Solidarity plaque

Local 802 President Mary Landolfi accepted a plaque of thanks to the members of Local 802 at the Local One IATSE Solidarity celebration last Saturday. Hundreds of union members from the Broadway community attended. Local One IATSE President James Claffey ended his appreciation remarks by declaring that any rumors about poor relations between 802 and Local One are completely false.

The Solidarity Plaque now hangs on the wall of the Executive Board Room at Local 802 across from the same big blue 802 AFM banner that hung front and center in the meeting room at the Westin last Saturday, Feb. 9.

Recording Seminar:
How to File a Contract

Click here For Online Presentation This seminar is organized for those musicians who do sessions for unionized record labels and must fill out contracts to get paid.  Every musician has the right to know what to expect from a Union recording session. Learn how the union contract system works to get respect for your work.

Increasingly, musicians work solo in studios doing recording work and there is no one on the session that can help you get paid correctly. Learn the methods to handle the business part of a recording session so you get paid right.

Musicians' Assistance Program

Most of us are familiar with it: butterflies in the stomach, sweating, dry mouth, accelerated heartbeat, shakiness, shortness of breath - all the physiological manifestations of extreme anxiety. These symptoms are most troublesome when we are about to perform before an audience and find that we are unable to proceed due to the jitters. Our minds may go blank - and we may freeze.
