Strike Update & New Benefits November 27, 2007

Strike Benefit From IATSE One  

 

Local 802 has received a check from Local One IATSE to supplement the loss of work benefits currently being paid from the Local 802 Strike Fund. The amount received will allow Local 802 to add $25 per missed show for the first 9 days of the strike. The Local 802 Executive Board voted to disperse the benefits immediately to the affected membership based on the same criteria in effect for use of funds from the 802 Strike Fund. Your solidarity is appreciated and recognized in many ways.

 

Checks for the total amount of $55.00 ($30 + $25) per missed show for the first full week of the strike and $25.00 per missed show for the weekend of November 10 and 11 will be available for pickup at the union tomorrow:

                     1:00 PM until 4:00 PM
            5th Floor Executive Board Room
 

Checks not picked up by 4:00 PM will be mailed by 6:00 PM Wednesday November 28.

If you applied for Unemployment Insurance benefits online and were not able to complete your application you should call

The data you entered online will still be in the Unemployment computer system this week and you can complete your application over the phone. When you are asked questions please answer truthfully, including any questions about whether you are receiving strike benefits.

IATSE One 2007 Negotiations
 
This morning Local One IATSE notified Local 802 AFM that negotiations with the League will resume tomorrow , Wednesday, November 28 at 10:00 AM.  The notice from Local One concludes with a thanks for your support and understanding.
