5 o'Clock Club Christmas Party.
A Great Success!
| |
We had over 70 members in attandance and drank 11 bottles of Leonard Kreusch Reisling, 5 bottles of Santa Carolina Sauvignon Blanch, 6 bottles of Concannon Cabernet and 5 bottles of Artezin Zinfandel.
"Hi Kathy,
While I was there for 30 sec. today I want to tell you how nice the Christmas party was. I was only there a short while, but it was very nice. The 5 O'Clock club did an outstanding job and the food was great. I was not at last years so I cannot compare it, but based on what I have heard from you this was a huge success compared to that.
Thank you for setting it up and making it such a wonderful event. You are a great asset to the chamber!"

Another First for ProHealth Care

appeared in Business Brief Lake Country Reporter on Tuesday, December 20, 2011
ProHealth Care is the first health care system in the Waukesha County to be certified by The Joint Commission as a Joint Replacement Center of Excellence for its hip and knee joint replacement programs at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.
"In the past two years, Pro Health Care has performed 3,000 orthopedic joint replacements, including the innovative MAKOplasty and anterior hip procedures," says Seth Teigen, director of ProHealth Care's Orthopedic Center.
The Joint Commission Awards Programs that successfully demonstrate compliance in consensus-based national standards in three areas: effective use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines to manage and optimize care; an organized approach to performance measurement; and improvement activities. The Gold Seal of Approval certification spans a two-year period.
At the end of the first year, the organization is required to attest to its continued compliance with standards and provide evidence of performance improvement activities. To maintain certification, the cycle repeats with an on-site review conducted every two years and a bi-annual submission of an acceptable assessment of compliance by the organization. |

Big Guy's Magic has magicians
'coming out of the woodwork'
PEWAUKEE - There are those who think of magic as a series of tricks, and then those like Greg Eckl, who relish the thrill and the performance of the illusion.
It was in April that Eckl - better known by his magical moniker, Big Guy - decided to convert his passion into a storefront business: Big Guy's Magic at 145 Park Ave. in Pewaukee. Now eight months into his grand experiment, Big Guy says the response has been electric: "We thought we'd start slow and see how things went, but almost immediately we had magicians coming out of the woodwork."
