Koepp Realty Goes Back to Their Roots: Koepp Realty
| | |
Koepp Realty is celebrating over 65 years of Real Estate business in the Pewaukee, Waukesha County area.
Koepp Realty was started prior to 1946 by Harry J. Koepp and was soon taken over by Harry J. Koepp, Jr., (commonly known as Jack Koepp). Jack operated as Koepp Realty from 1946 until 1979 when he decided to purchase a Century 21 franchise. In 1995 Bob Koepp took over management of the three generation family business. This year it was decided to drop the franchise and go back to their roots Koepp Realty.
Koepp Realty prides themselves on honest hard work. "you can't stay in business for over 65 years without satisfying your customers."
Bob, we hope to celebrate with you at this year's Christmas Party December 7 at Five O'Clock Club- see you there and at the Awards Dinner as well! You are our most loyal chamber member (since 1946).

Grow Your Business -
with help from Vince Lombardi
| | |
It's amazing how these Vince Lombardi Quotes apply to Growing Your Business as well as football!

"As soon as an error is corrected, it is important that the error be forgotten and only the successful attempts be remembered. Errors, mistakes, and humiliations are all necessary steps in the learning process. Once they have served their purpose, they should be forgotten. If we constantly dwell upon the errors, then the error or failure becomes the goal."
"Figure out what you must control, and then control that."
"Don't succumb to excuses. Go back to the job of making the corrections and forming the habits that will make your goal possible."
"The big picture is your road map and rudder. It can't change in response to minor setbacks."
"Every little knowledge about ourselves calls for corresponding endeavor and improvement."
"A goal without a purpose is like a boat without an anchor. Remember why you chose that goal."
"The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing."
"Success comes from good judgment. Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment."

Spotlight on 2011 Pewaukee Chamber Ambassadors
| | |
The Ambassador Committee meets first Tuesday of each month over lunch at Chamber Office from 12-1. We would love for you to join us. Ambassadors orient new members and make calls to current members. This month two new Ambassadors joined the Committee: James Wilde, Lake Country Travel and Patti Maynard, Maynard & Belt
featuring this month.... Alisha Schulz
 | Alisha and her husband, Jesse with their cat, Jasper, live in Mukwonago |
I am the Assistant Manager at Associated Bank - Pewaukee. Because of the size of my branch, my role is to actually act as branch manager to allow the manager to be out pursuing new business. I enjoy working with people and helping them with their financial needs. My philosophy is always to put the customer first. I love my customers as well as my colleagues. My ongoing goal is to create a positive environment within my branch, which in turn creates a positive experience for our clients.
I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a B.S. in Architecture and I'm looking to pursue an MBA. My husband, Jesse, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at ProHealth. We live in Mukwonago, with October marking our 2nd year in our new home. We have been married almost 4 years and are starting to think about having children. We have a cat named Jasper, who loves fruit and always keeps us entertained. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, usually with a bottle of wine. And I am the all-star for Dance Central on Xbox Kinect. (Dance Central is a video game where you mirror the motions of the character on the tv, read by motion sensors. It's pretty cool!)
Thank you Alisha for serving as our Chamber Ambassador. Alisha is the Coordinator of the Committee, setting agendas and taking notes. The Committee really values her organizational skills.

BUSINESS xCHANGE
"Give to Get"
|
| |
 | |
It works both ways. You must "give to get". Share with the rest of the chamber your testimonial, encouraging members to support each other
|
According to networking experts, one must "give to get" to reap the benefits resulting in referrals, leads and ultimately "growing your business". Here's the Chamber Members who shared with us how they are actively working this process. We applaud them for exemplifying the old fashioned principles that chambers were founded on. Here's our Current List of Chamber Members for you to patronize.
Current List of Chamber Members
Fred Miller, Atalanta Consulting, went to Composure Graphics to have his business brochures updated and printed. They did a fantastic job for a great price!
I purchased $48.30 worth of paper and office supplies at Office Max and saved $63.48 - what a deal! And I purchased a new office chair there as well - now I look forward to coming to work and relaxing in my new chair. Kathy Eckhardt, Pewaukee Chamber
Mike Poelzer, Spring Creek Church, reports that Peter Drees, Moe's Southwest Grill, has been exceptionally generous and creative with promotions to Spring Creek Church, especially his willingness to provide a free meal to every Upward Soccer or Basketball Player who shows up at Moe's in uniform on game day. This promotion to our league offers substantial value to our families and hopefully sends more business his way that would otherwise happen. Moes has also created numerous events here at Spring Creek and has delivered a great product and experience every time.
I'd like to give a shout out to Rebecca Scarberry, Becky's Blissful Bakery! I use her caramels for my new client and referral gifts - making a sweet first impression on these new business engagements! And, Rebecca makes the process easy - 1 email to her and she ships off the gift with a personal note and my business card! Heather Mangold, Mangold Creative LLC.
I would lik to give special notice to Christina Dollins, Lakeview Insurance who went out of her way above
and beyond. After seeing Christina's name written on her large picture window I wrote it down and gave her a call. I had been with my previous agent 6 years. I was amazed at how quickly I could get a quote from Christina. Her words were true. "You do not have to worry about this anymore!" She is quick, very through and I had my first policy in my hands thru the mail within three days. We went from 2 to 3 vehicles and my insurance dropped over $800 a year. Same coverage-Crazy savings. Since this she has taken over all our policies except for one as I have not made the time to drop it off for her review. I saved about 30% total and she is so nice and quick. I can not thank her enough. Katie Guindon, Design Xchange and Wooden Hanger
When Mike Poelzer, Spring Creek Church, had an idea to create "Dads and Kid's Fishing Day" he approached John and Loie at Smokey's Muskie Shop. They were excited to help him with the planning and execution of the event. He rented 8 boats for a couple of hours in the morning. John's staff did a great job preparing the boats and had clear instructions for all participants. The group caught over 180 fish that day and both dads and kids can't wait for next year's event.
Lake Country Travel:wishes to thank Chris Sherman & Tony Stone at AmeriSign & Graphics for redesigning and printing a beautiful new tri-fold brochure for our business partner - Hotel on the Bay in St. Croix.
Lake Country Travel would like to compliment Kim at EmbroidMe for assisting us in getting new apparel with our logo stitched on them. The finished pieces are AMAZING!
Jodi Keene, Mary Kay Cosmetics, thanks Jim Wilde from Lake Country Travel for using her Mary Kay packages for client Holiday gifts.
Andy Falk, owner of Lake Country Auto goes the extra step to service his customers. My husband, Fred, brought in his Toyota Tacoma since it was making a stramge noise. Andy discovered the problem - one that the Toyota dealer's computer couldn't find. Thank you Andy for saving us a lot of money. Kathy Eckhardt, Pewaukee Chamber
Christina Dollins, Lakeview Insurance would like to personally thank everyone who came to our open house, it was a HUGH success! I especially want to Thank Tat's from Big Guy Magic for coming and performing for us for a couple of hours, also Big Guy Magic for donating a TON of raffle prizes. Also, Kathy Oleinik for donating a gift certificate from Neighborhood Welcome. I also would like to thank Kathy Johnson and North Shore Bank for the backpack cooler and Bank of Memories and Flowers for the BEAUTIFUL flowers that were delivered to our office on the day of our Open House, they are BEAUTIFUL!!
Christina also would like to thank Cathy Zmudzinski from Waukesha State Bank for placing her personal homeowners insurance with our agency, we appreciate her business and trust! I would also like to thank James Wilde at Lake Country Travel for solving our dilemmas for our Las Vegas trip. Without his assistance we might not be departing!
Kathy Oleinik, Neighborhood Welcome, believes Five O'Clock Club has the best fish fry in the area! She also would like to thank Christina Dollins, Lakeview Insurance for the fantastic service she and her son were given with their car insurance. She gives the extra mile to make sure everything was to our liking and met our needs.
I was delighted last weekend with a new sweater and two skirts I was able to find at a great price at Wooden Hanger. . Kathy Eckhardt, Pewaukee Chamber
Mike Poelzer, Spring Creek Church, tells us he met Aronold's Environmental Services through a chamber lunch which led to a follow up conversation about their ongoing needs for temporary facilities for various events throughout the year. Arnolds came back with very fair pricing and every experience they have had with them including set up and ongoing maintenance has been top-notch. It's not even a question with us anymore, we are on their schedule, and they are on ours.
Show us you support our Chamber Businesses by sending your BUSINESS XCHANGE to info@pewaukeechamber.org to be included in the next newsletter

| PEWAUKEE CHAMBER VALUE COUPON BOOK - SUPPORT OUR LOCAL BUSINESS AND SAVE!
|
| |
 | Keep the dollars in the community defines the unique character of Pewaukee. |
Business owners serve on community boards, volunteer, and contribute to the local economy as well as donate time and money to charities. Great customer service comes from your friends and neighbors, your hometown business owners.
We are putting together a "Chamber Member" only Value Book that will be sold by local non-profit organizations and business associations to the community of the Lake Country area to encourage consumers to "buy local". The more money that stays in our community, the more we all prosper!
The only way this Value book will be possible is with Pewaukee Chamber Members advertising in it. The cost is affordable for all size business, only $100 per year (valid through 12/31/2012), and your business will be exposed to current and potential new customers. For every ad you place in the book you will receive 2 free books to hand out! A minimum of 2,000 books will be printed and distributed.
If you offer a serve that can't be discounted - think about cross marketing with another Chamber Business. That's what we learned in the October Fusion Marketing luncheon. We can give you ideas how to do this.
Please email your coupon to Christina Dollins. Actual coupon size will be 3x6" with an additional 2" tear off area to keep your information in the book after the coupon is used. If you need help designing your coupon, please contact Christina Dollins at 262-264-0077 for referrals.
