Tip of the Month Our Favorite Ways to LOVE and EMBRACE the Holidays!
Hit up Candy Cane
Lane Every town or city has
that special street where every house is decorated from chimney to sidewalk
with holiday cheer. Take your kids
or relive your youth when twinkly Christmas lights would thrill your inner
holiday joy and take a stroll down Candy Cane Lane.
Window Shop Whether walking down your festively lit main
street or your downtown shopping district... take in the holiday lights and the
amazing widow dressing to fill your senses with holiday cheer.
Decorate.... Anything Even if you don't do a Christmas Tree or a garland wrapped staircase, holiday decorating is still possible. Pick up a point seta
or even change your candle sticks and tea lights to a festive green or red and
watch your living room transform!
Give Nothing gives the warm and fuzzies
like giving your time to someone in need. There are so many opportunities to give this year; like at shelters, food banks or even in your own neighborhood. Offer to shovel the sidewalk of the elderly or single mother or take cookies over to someone who may be alone this holiday season.
Baking Party On a Sunday afternoon, call over
your best girlfriends and have each of them bring over their favorite recipes and let the baking begin.
By the end of the day you will have more laughs, more story sharing and
a whole lot of baked goodies ready for all your holiday parties.
Check your Local
"Festivity" Listing Check online or your paper for local
tree lighting ceremonies, caroling choirs or any other event that your city or
town puts on to embrace the holidays. It's a great way to meet other people and soak up the holiday cheer!
Watch the Food
Network Sounds crazy
right? But if you are puttering around
the house with nothing to do or you perhaps need a break from your holiday
preparations... turn on the Food
Network! Right now these shows are
filled with so much holiday cuisine it will get your taste buds ready and
perhaps even equip you with another holiday dish.
Throw a Christmas Movie Night Party
Send out the invite and ask your friends to come with their favorite Christmas movie for a night of eggnog and popcorn. My personal favorite is "Scrooged" because it still makes me laugh out load every year but this Christmas movie Party would not be complete without the classic "It's a Wonderful Life". A movie to surely put you in the spirit of the Christmas.
