Matt Peacock-2
Matt Peacock to Keynote Conference

The 2012 ADAO 8th Annual International Asbestos Awareness Conference is less than three weeks away, and we are excited to announce that Matt Peacock, award-winning journalist from the Australian Broadcasting Company, will be our keynote speaker! Since the conference will be in Los Angeles, it's only appropriate to bring in some of that classic Hollywood spirit! Matt's newest book, Killer Company, a history of Australia's largest asbestos manufacturer, has recently been dramatized for the new TV series Devil's Dust, and his investigative journalism piece, India's Toxic Trade, has been seen by millions. All of us at ADAO are honored to have such a prolific journalist sharing his views and wisdom. But remember, this is Hollywood, so the guest list is exclusive! Be sure to register now to get your name on the list and ensure that you don't miss out on any of the great events over the weekend!

Steve McQueen to be Honored Posthumously
Steve and Barbi

The 2012 ADAO Asbestos Awareness Conference is coming to Hollywood this year and it's time to bust out the glitz and glam to get ready for the stars! Increasing the star power this year will be Barbara McQueen, widow of Steve McQueen, who is receiving the Warren Zevon Keep Me in Your Heart Memorial Award on her late husband's behalf. In addition to receiving the award, Barbara will be signing copies of her book, Steve McQueen: The Last Mile, which chronicles her time with Steve in pictures and passages from 1977 to 1980. Affectionately known as the King of Cool, McQueen dominated cinema in the 60s and 70s, and rose to the top of the American box-office. This is an amazing opportunity, so don't get stuck behind the velvet rope, and register for the conference now!
