Shakespeare High: The Movie

Please come to the screening of Shakespeare High on Tuesday, May 22, 7 p.m., at the Menlo Atherton High School PAC.
Shakespeare High is a feature-length documentary about a determined group of teens whose immersion in the Drama Teachers Association of Southern California's high school drama program compels them to overcome their difficulties and create better lives for themselves. Among the many famous alumni/ae of this almost 100 year-old program are Kevin Spacey, Val Kilmer, Mare Winningham, and Richard Dreyfuss, all featured in the movie.
The film has received rave reviews at important film festivals across the country this year--including the recent honor of Best Documentary at the Sonoma Film Festival. It is as entertaining as it is inspiring!
To learn more about the film and buy tickets now, go to http://mafoundation.org/shakespeare.php.
Tickets are only $10 for adults and $8 for students.

M-A Volunteers Wanted for 2012-2013 School Year
Is your 8th grader attending M-A next year?  If so, please sign-up to be on the Administrative Support volunteer list. There are no specific obligations - when the M-A Administration needs parent volunteers, we send out an email and if the volunteer opportunity fits in your schedule, you sign up; otherwise no need to respond.  A sampling of events that use lots of parent volunteers are Arena Check-In, Textbook Distribution, STAR Test Sorting, and AP Test Proctoring. Volunteering is a great way to meet other M-A parents and find out what's happening at M-A.  To be placed on our list, please send us an email with your name to AdminSupport@mabearspta.org. Welcome to M-A!
