Welcome back everyone for what is sure to be another outstanding year for our children at La Entrada! We hope you are feeling rested, relaxed and energized after our summer break. The beginning of the school year is such an exciting time for our children and we hope to generate the same enthusiasm from our parent community in joining and supporting our PTA and the many programs that we support.

Online Membership and Volunteering
We are extremely thankful for the work that Lucia Tedesco, Suzanne Mitchell, and Artis Montague have done in consolidating all school and district paper work, PTA membership and volunteer sign ups by putting everything online this year. Our new paper free system is sure to make things easier for everyone (even the technologically challenged). To get started and see how easy this whole process is simply go to: http://www.laentradapta.org.
Your membership form and dues can be completed online using Paypal or you may still download the membership form and pay by check. Additional forms are also available in the office.
Please look over the requests carefully as we have many vital programs that are not possible without everyoneʼs support. Although we are a small school district, we do have two separate PTAs so if you have children in both schools, please join both groups.
Volunteering for our wonderful programs and activities is even easier with one stop shopping. We hope these changes will make it easier for you to support our school community and help our committee chairs and volunteers plan, organize, and implement activities.
Supply Lists
Most teachers have provided their supply lists in advance. Too see the lists on the website click, "Back to School Supply Lists." Thank you to all the teachers who have posted their list.
Hot Food
Come see your kids at lunch and help serve hot food at the same time! If you are available for 45 minutes once a week or once every other week, serving hot food is a great way to see your children, connect with other parents, and help with a vital PTA service all at once. If you have an interest, please contact Julia Massa at with your availability or sign up online http://www.laentradapta.org/volunteer.html (click on "Hot Lunch" on the left sidebar for more info.) You may work any combination of days each week or every other week. You may work only the 4th/5th shift or the 6th-8th shift or both. If you can't commit to a regular schedule, but would like to substitute, that works too!
Hot lunch begins Monday, August 29 and we need to have plenty of help to get off to a

Welcome Coffee
Please join us for our first general PTA meeting and Volunteer Fair on WEDNESDAY,
AUGUST 24 from 9:15-11:15 a.m. in the MUR. This is the perfect opportunity to
connect with old friends and meet new friends, hear from key people in our district and
participate in our short meeting. We will also have computers set up to allow you to
sign up for the wide variety of volunteer opportunities available at La Entrada.
