REMINDERS FOR GRANDPARENTS' DAY THIS FRIDAY, MARCH 25
Hot Lunch: If your child will be joining a grandparent for lunch, please be sure to send them with a brown bag lunch on Friday, March 25th. Any lunches ordered through Children's Choice should be cancelled if your child will be eating with his/her grandparent. This will ensure that your child is able to spend time with his/her grandparent rather than spending time in a long lunch line. Students will join their grandparents at tables set up in the big gym. The Foundation will serve grandparents a light lunch.
Parking: We will have several hundred grandparents on the La Entrada campus on Friday, March 25th from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Street parking will be available. You may also drop-off and pick-up visiting grandparents at the school's front entrance.
Spirit Day: Remind your child that the spirit theme for this Friday is "office wear"!
Questions: Please read our Grandparents' Day overview found on the Foundation website or email GPDay@llef.org.

REMINDERS FROM THE PRINCIPAL
March 21-25 is a very busy week for us. Here are some updates/reminders to help us keep track of things:
Monday, March 21: Public High School Address Verification. (For 8th Grade Families.) This will be held in our office from 5-7pm. Last names "A-M" should try to come from 5-6pm, and last names "N-Z" should try to come from 6-7pm. Instructions were attached to an email that went to all 8th grade families on March 2.
Tuesday, March 22: Public High School Registration forms due. (For 8th Grade Families.) The "Class Recommendation Form" and the "Registration Form" should be turned into the science teacher (Mr. Akers).
Wednesday, March 23: Distinguished School Validation Team Visit. A validation team will be visiting and observing at La Entrada all day on Wednesday. This is the next step of the Distinguished School process.
Wednesday, March 23: Partner Concert with Menlo Atherton High School. The concert is being held in the Menlo Atherton High School Performing Arts Center and will begin at 7pm.
Thursday, March 24: Choir Concert. Our 4th and 5th grade choir will perform in the gym at 7pm.
Friday, March 25: Grandparents' Day. This year it is our turn to host this wonderful event. Grandparents will be with us all morning and through lunch. We are asking all community members to:
- Not park in our parking lot. We would like to reserve it for our grandparents.
- Remember to cancel Children's Choice lunch on Friday if your child will be having lunch with his/her grandparent. All children eating with their grandparents should bring a sack lunch on Friday.
See...I wasn't kidding when I said it is going to be a busy week! It is also going to be a wonderful week!
Thanks
Larry
