Welcome Coffee
The initial general meeting of the La Entrada PTA and the Volunteer Fair will be held WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 25, at 8:45 a.m. in the MUR.
Please join us for coffee, conversation and a short business meeting. We will have computers set up to allow you to sign up for the wide variety of volunteer activities available.
We will be asking the assembly to approve the minutes from the last general meeting (April 14, 2010.) Click here to review them - we won't provide copies at the meeting.

Lunchtime Enrichment
Parents, please remind your children to sign-up for La Entrada Lunchtime Enrichment this school year.  There is no cost to participate, and your kids may sign-up for one or more of the terrific programs we are offering this year: Book Club, Perspectives in Medicine, Historical Weapons & Wars: Science's Role in World Conquest, and Youth Action Council.  All students (4th through 8th grade) are invited to participate.  The programs are held during the lunch periods on Wednesdays. Sign-ups will be at the Leopard Faire and in their core teacher's classroom.  For more details, see the PTA web site:
http://www.laentradapta.org/_programs/lele.htm

Hot Lunch Volunteers Needed
Hot Lunch starts on Monday, Aug 30th, but the program cannot run without volunteers: and we need to have plenty of help to get off to a good start.
If you are available for 40 minutes once a week or once every other week, serving hot food is a great way to see your children, connect with other parents, and help with a vital PTA service all at once.  If you have an interest, please contact Julia Massa at gershenberg@sbcglobal.net with your availability or sign up online http://www.laentradapta.org/volunteer.html(click on "Hot Lunch" on the left sidebar.)
