 Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater
Hailed by The New York Times as being "rich with fine performers these days, both established and rising stars", Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will soon bring the beauty, power, passion and artistry that are its hallmarks to audiences in Charlotte. Led by acclaimed Artistic Director Judith Jamison, the Company will present a diverse repertory of revered classics, recent favorites, exciting premieres and dramatic new productions. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's signature piece "Revelations" will be part of the company's program on Thurs at 7:30PM; Sat at 8PM; and Sun at 3PM. "Revelations" will not be included in the program on other performances. Black Pearl Sings
 A rags-to-riches tale set during the Great Depression, "Black Pearl Sings!" tells the story of Susannah Mullally, a woman working for the Library of Congress recording lost folk songs for preservation and searching for that hidden treasure that could make her famous.
