Biloxi Blues This is the continuing saga of Eugene Morris Jerome, Neil Simon's alter ego, whom we last met in "Brighton Beach Memoirs." Eugene, a young army recruit during World War II, is going through his basic training, learning about life at boot camp in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1943. Jotting down his memoirs, Eugene and five other assorted enlisted men suffer under a hard-nosed D.I., endure the "mess" served up in mess hall and join together to become adults, with hilarious results. The Found Footage Festival The Found Footage Festival is a one-of-a-kind event that showcases footage from videos that were found at garage sales and thrift stores and in warehouses and dumpsters across the country. Video is narrated live by FFF creators Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher, whose comedy credits include The Onion, Late Show with David Letterman, and The Colbert Report. A Night of Films and Music Featuring a series of shorts by award-winning Brooklyn-based filmmaker David Finkelstein and local filmmaker Ross Wilbanks as well as new music by local musician Bo White. David Finkelstein is an award-winning performer and director. He is currently the Artistic Director of the Lake Ivan Performance Group in Brooklyn NY. David's work is a unique layering of improvised theatrical performance, original music, and three-dimensional computer animation which encompasses a tremendous range of emotions, textures, and ideas. Haiti Earthquake Benefit Concert  Charlotte Department of Theatre are hosting a benefit concert to help the victims of the earthquake. The event will take place in the Anne R. Belk Theater, a 320 seat venue, in Robinson Hall for the Performing Arts on the UNC Charlotte campus. All proceeds are to be donated to American Red Cross.
