CRC News
On My Own Time 2010 enters its 37th year. The CRC community arts program highlights the creative skills of employees of local business who are artists "on their own time." Employees submit a work of art to the program in the spring, and a display of their work is mounted at their workplace. The art is adjudicated by OMOT judges at each workplace. A color catalog of the artwork is put together by CRC, and as a finale, all of the artwork is displayed at the Everson with a reception in the fall when the judging results are announced. At this time, CRC is looking for businesses to participate. Email OMOT@mycnyarts.o for more information. Sign up by Fri., Feb. 19 to participate in a kick-off luncheon at Saratoga Steak and Seafood on the Green on Thurs., Feb. 25.
NYFA MARK10 In Progress CRC is pleased to be partnering with NYFA to bring the MARK10 program to the Syracuse area. MARK is the New York Foundation for the Arts' (NYFA) statewide six-month program for visual artists who want a unique opportunity for individualized focus on the professional side of their creative practice.

What is Arts Day? It's our day on Capital Hill.
Legislators need to see and hear from us to keep the arts in the State budget. This is your chance to meet with your legislators, voice your opinion and hear how legislators such as Assemblyman Steve Englebright and Senator Jose Serrano are working to keep the arts alive and well in New York State.
To join a group or get more information about Arts Day, email CRC Executive Director Stephen Butler or visit the NYS Arts website for Arts Day 2010.
