Greetings friends,
RTF is making a big change.
As many of you will already know, RTF's memorial events are free for all who attend. In the past, we have hosted our annual fundraiser in the Fall in order to support our memorial events. This year, we have made a change.
After much deliberation our board has made the decision to change our focus for the year. In light of the increased costs to host our annual fundraiser, the proceeds of which go toward our two memorial events, we have opted to cancel our annual fundraiser event and instead are working to secure sponsors for each event directly.
It was such a hard choice to make, but we feel it is our responsibility to put our donated funds, given by you, to the best use possible. In 2010 that means not taking a risk by hosting a costly gala event.
In light of this change, we are actively seeking sponsors for both of our memorial events. The Butterfly Release is on June 26, and the Candlelight Memorial is on December 4. We're offering generous advertising packages to our sponsors that include our facebook and twitter and newsletter for the first time, and a discount when you sponsor both events.
How can you help?
- If you would have attended our annual benefit, consider making a donation in lieu of buying a ticket.
- If you have a business, consider being a sponsor of our memorial events. See flyer here.
- Spread the word! Forward this newsletter, "share" our links from our Facebook Fan Page and Retweet us on Twitter.
At RTF, we make every penny count. We pay no staff, work to run a paperless office to keep costs down, and are managed completely by volunteers. Please help us keep our memorial events free of charge.
Thank you for your continued support!

Consider supporting RTF with a monthly recurring donation. We work hard at RTF to keep our costs very low. All of our programs are free to families who wish to use them. Our memorial events are free. Membership to our website is always free. Please help us keep it that way with a small recurring donation! Looking for a more specific way to help out with a donation? Consider a single donation of $100 or $200 to pay for an engraved memorial tile for someone who is unable to afford one for their child.
