Greetings friends,

Thank you for taking some time to see what's happening at RTF.  In this issue:
  • Three free events in December
  • The Presence of Angels - new article
  • Your Baby's Page - a new free program
  • Online "tour" of our Angel Memorial Plaza
The holiday season is upon us and for many parents who are missing their children, it is especially difficult to feel so bombarded with all the things that might have been.  Please remember to give a call or tell your friend that you're thinking about them and remembering their child with them.  Often people hesitate to share for fear they will make the parents sad.  The parents are already sad, it is usually quite uplifting to be told that someone else is thinking of their child.
ANNUAL CANDLELIGHT REMEMBRANCE
Register to Attend Join us on December 6th

Register today
to be included in the RTF Candlelight Remembrance Event being held at our Angel Memorial Plaza in Parker, CO.

This is a free event, but you must register in order to attend.  Registration includes your candle, event program, and entry to the hot cocoa reception afterward.

You do not have to be present in order for your child to be included.  This is a family event, and children will be present.
MOTHERLAND - The Film
Register to Attend Free Movie Screening

You're invited to join us at one of our two screenings of the new documentary film, Motherland.  Register Online.

This film follows six women from diverse backgrounds who came together to take a very unique trip: a 17-day intensive pilgrimage to volunteer in rural South Africa. Prior to the journey, these six women did not know each other. However they all shared one thing in common: they had all suffered the death of a child.

RTF is proud to be a supporting Partner of Motherland and we are hosting these screening events as part of:

National Grief Support Week - December 15-21, 2008.

TOUR OUR MEMORIAL

Welcome to the RTF Angel Memorial Plaza, in Parker Colorado, USA.

When you arrive at the park, you'll walk along the tree-lined path that follows Cherry Creek.  You'll pass the picnic tables and visitor shelter.  Continue north and you'll see the town's arboretum and all the young trees that are growing there in a natural setting...  if you look to your left, you'll see an angel.

THE PRESENCE OF ANGELS
Presence of Angels by Julie A. VanGorder

Angels have become hip.  They're not just religious symbols or restricted to legend-lore.  Angelic imagery surrounds us in some shape and form while references to them are everywhere.

 YOUR BABY'S PAGE

Your Baby's PageA New Free Program
We recently launched a new program called "Your Baby's Page" which is now available through our website.

Your Baby's Page is a free program available to anyone who wishes to have a personal page dedicated to their child.  These pages are intended as a free-form memorial page to share your child's story, create a personal memorial, or to share about life after loss and your child's legacy.

See the current listing of pages, and learn how to add yours today!
As an all volunteer organization, we exist solely because of the generous support from people like you.  We know all too well how many worthy causes there are out there and so we appreciate your continued support of the work we are doing.

Sincerely,

Corinne O'Flynn, Executive Director
