Greetings!
Happy Holidays to you and yours. Can it already be the middle of December? In this newsletter, you're given a peek at our Angel of Hope Memorial Dedication that happened on December 8th, we also have some helpful hints about coping with the holidays, and a link to the form to order your engraved memorial for our Memorial Plaza.
It can be so hard to be joyful at this time of year when your heart is broken and you're simply missing your child or loved one who has died. It is my most sincere hope that each of us can set boundaries, ask for comfort when we need it, and bow out of attending holiday events when you need to protect your heart.

OUR MEMORIAL PLAZA DEDICATION |
|
Forecast: Angel Kisses
Someone told me recently that snowflakes were kisses from angels. Well, they couldn't have come at a more perfect time. Our dedication event on the 8th was simply covered in angel kisses!
Those of us who braved the weather experienced a cozy and picturesque dedication. (Cozy = because we were huddled together!) The snow truly made it just so quiet and somehow isolated from the world. It was a special day.

You are not alone in thinking it is hard. This month, it is important for each of us to think about preparing for the holidays with our child in mind.

This article offers you some ideas and things to think about that might help you build up your courage to face the world.

OUR NEWEST ESSAY |
|
Surrendering to the Roar This essay was inspired by a gift I received quite unexpectedly in October, by someone I didn't even know.
It confirmed for me that we I am not alone in this journey. That the isolation we feel when deep loss occurs is not a physical isolation. That it is perfectly ok for me to share our daughter Rowan's story and our story of losing her in the ways that I have chosen to.
I hope this gift I received can inspire you to share your story with others. I hope that you are presented with an opportunity where you feel your heart is safe to be opened up, and that when you hand it to someone else, they handle it with tender care.

GIVE WHILE YOU SHOP - ALL YEAR LONG |
|
Online Shopping = Donations to RTF! Did you know you can support RTF while shopping online, at no additional cost to you? That's right! We're registered with Amazon.com and iGive.com as charities that can benefit from your shopping (all year long).
Amazon.com - Simply click the link from our website to and shop to your heart's content. All purchases must be made during that visit to Amazon, saved items in your cart will not count.
iGive.com - By following the link to iGive, you'll be invited to register at iGive.com and choose RTF as your chosen charity. Once you do, you'll be prompted to download the "shopping window" which is simply a tiny box that pops up when you are at an iGive shopping site (the gap, lands end, barnes and noble, etc) to let you know your purchases will count toward a donation to RTF.
There are so many charities that deserve your time and attention, and so many that exist solely because of your donations. Please consider these methods of donating to RTF. It is a small thing to do, and because we are 100% volunteer, every penny counts!
