Sharing your Story

My phone rang the other morning, but I was unable to get to it before it went through to voicemail. When I played back the message, I heard the voice of a dear friend who I will call "Catherine". She sounded a bit tentative; "Hi, could you call me back... when you have a minute, to talk?"

Her message was short, and although I felt a quick twinge of worry that something might be wrong, she betrayed nothing of her thoughts. Her message was uncharacteristic; she usually expands a bit to let me know why she called.

Mark your calendars for our 2nd Annual Golf Classic and Charity Benefit. We're looking forward to seeing you again this year as we host our second-annual fundraiser. With your help, our Memorial Project will be a reality in 2007!

Registration is now open online. We are also accepting sponsors and auction item donations at this time. We're looking forward to another exciting event. Stay tuned for details as we plan a fun night for golfers, and their families. (Kids too!)

We're half way there! Please donate today to help us meet our goal to raise $25,000 this year for our Memorial Project. All money raised for the memorial project will be used to erect the memorial statue, beautify the memorial area to create a peaceful and lovely place to visit, and allow us to hold an annual Remembrance Event at the memorial site.

Our newest program, Sweetest Keepsakes Photo Retouching, has already served many families who until now were unable to share photos of their child with the people they love.

As so many parents who have lost a child to stillbirth, complications due to prematurity, or other causes shortly after birth can attest, it is sometimes difficult to share our precious photos of our babies for fear they will not be viewed with sensitivity, care, and understanding. This is just one of many ways we are helping parents heal after the loss of a precious child.

Rowan Tree Foundation is a tax exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation in the state of Colorado, EIN# 65-1250976. Powered by 100% volunteer staff, our mission is to provide ongoing support and resources for families who are coping with the devastating loss of a much loved child. Thank you for your continued interest in and support of Rowan Tree Foundation!
