Greetings!

Welcome to the first issue of our Newsletter! We're excited to offer you a quick glimpse of the latest articles and news happening with the foundation and our member community - right in your inbox. We have many new and exciting things happening and would love to share them with you.

No Rush...
I have a box within which I store all of Rowan's things. Her personal things; a lock of her hair, meaningful mementos, photographs, notes, cards from friends, and other bits and pieces that were a part of her during her time here with us. It also contains various things that I have collected "for her" over the years.

Announcing our First Annual Golf Classic and Charity Auction! You're invited to a fabulous day of golfing fun. We're gathering at the Pinery Country Club in Parker on September 18th for a 10:00 A.M. Shotgun Start. Not a golfer? That's ok - We've got plenty for you to do as well! Stay tuned as we bring you more information on this exciting event to raise money for our cause. Proceeds from this year's event will benefit our 2006 Memorial Project.

We need golfers and auction items. We are also looking for individual, local business and corporate sponsors at all levels. Additionally we will need piles of volunteers! The auction is perfect for event tickets, sports memorabilia, gift certificates for products and services, restaurant certificates, travel vouchers, even big-ticket items! Just let us know if you can help in any way, we have plenty of things to do!

We are working so hard to bring our angel to Parker! The town of Parker is working with us to finalize the perfect location for our memorial.

Check our website for updates as they happen. We still have a long way to go before we will meet our fundraising goal so we can use your help spreading the word. Please do send this email on to your friends and family.

Did you know we have started an online book club? It is open to any of our members who have lost a child. This month we registered for and won a contest! Our group won 12 free copies of "The Same Sweet Girls" by Cassandra King, and a telephone chat with the author - courtesy of Hyperion Publishing. Even if you didn't get in on the free books, there is still time to pick up a copy and join the discussion. Our conversation with Cassandra King is scheduled for April 26th at 6:30pm MST. We'll begin talking about this book on the 25th in our forum. Visit the forum board "Taking a Break" for more information.

Did you happen to catch the program "Around the Town" on the Altitude Channel last week? If you did then you saw my interview with Kathy Lee of 103.5 The Fox radio. We talked all about our 2006 Memorial Project and the Golf Event in September.

We'd like to thank Kathy Lee and the folks at Around the Town for helping us spread awareness for the work that we are doing for families who have lost a much loved child. Do you have friends in the local media that might be able to help us publicize our cause? We want to hear from you!

Sincerely,
