Bryant University will host March 9 Rhode Island economics conference
"The Rhode Island Economy: What's Next? Beyond the Problems to the Solutions" is a one-day conference that will bring together economic researchers, opinion leaders, and policy makers from different sectors to examine what needs to be done to move Rhode Island forward and create an economic agenda for the future.
Keynote speakers at the March 9 conference at Bryant University are:
- Ross Gittell, Ph.D., of the New England Economic Partnership and vice president and professor of management at the University of New Hampshire; and
- Keith Stokes, executive director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation.
Other experts who will help develop a roadmap of ways to create jobs, make the state more business friendly, and improve opportunities within the regional economy represent the University of Rhode Island, Bryant University, and the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council, among other noteworthy organizations. Neil Steinberg, president & CEO of The Rhode Island Foundation, is a presenter at a session entitled, "Which sectors should Rhode Island target to attract and retain businesses?
