  • USEF Four-in Hand Clinic at Black Prong Jan 11-15, 2009

This month, well-known German Four-in-Hand driver Peter Tischer will be at Black Prong Equestrian Center to coach Four-in-Hand drivers who are preparing their horses for the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG), to be held in Lexington, Kentucky from September 25 - October 10, 2010.

The U.S.E.F. is commissioning Peter to help prospective Four-in-Hand drivers training to vie for the available competitior slots at the WEG.

Come witness the excitement! You are welcome to visit Black Prong and pick up your own driving pointers as you watch and listen in on some of Peter's sessions. For more information, call the Black Prong office at 352-486-1234.

About the FEI World Equestrian Games: The World Equestrian Games are comprised of the world championships for eight equestrian sports - show jumping, dressage, eventing, driving, reining, vaulting, endurance and para-equestrian. The Games are held every four years, two years prior to the Olympic Games, and are governed by the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI). 500,000 people are expected to attend the 16-day event in 2010, to witness representatives from more than 60 nations, including 800 expected competitors and 900 expected horses. Saunders to Vie for WEG Slot

David Saunders is currently training with Peter Tischer at the U.S.E.F. Clinics, with the goal of being a contender in 2010. An internationally accomplished Four-in-Hand driver, David lives in the Black Prong neighborhood.

Alan and Maureen Aulson have pledged the use of their horses and trailer; Ray and Pam Knisley have loaned their carriages and other support; Carol Minker has donated a horse for the team. This team may well be the only American-bred Morgan Horses at the WEG!

David appreciates any further support or pledges, to help him make the goal a reality.
