Evelyn Strange has been appointed by Governor Steve Beshear to the Board of Directors of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority for a four-year term, which ends July 15, 2016. She replaces J.D. Nichols, whose term had expired.
Ms. Strange is President of Advanced Electrical Systems, Inc, a full-service industrial and commercial electrical contracting and engineering firm and currently
serves on the Metro Chamber's Greater Louisville, Inc. Executive Committee.

Crittenden Drive Rerouting
On Tuesday, August 28 at 3 p.m., construction of the South Connector (Phase 1) of the Crittenden Drive Relocation Project will be finished and the new roadway and bridge over the CSX railroad tracks connecting to Strawberry Lane will be open to traffic.
At that time, Crittenden Dr. (from the 90-degree turn near the Republic Airways hangar to Maclean Ave.) will be permanently closed. Click here for the new route map and directions.
The South Connector was funded with $5 million from the Commonwealth of Kentucky and $6 million from the Louisville Redevelopment Authority.
Relocating the roadway allows for the construction of Taxiway "A", a crucial airfield improvement, which permits the airport to handle the newest, largest long-range commercial aircraft now in service.
In spring 2012, The Commonwealth of Kentucky committed $17 million over two years to construct the North Connector and the Woodlawn Overpass phases of this roadway relocation project. Construction of the North Connector (from the intersection of Crittenden Drive and Park Boulevard south to Wabasso) is expected to begin sometime in November 2012. Click here for project map.
