Nutrition article - it's time for...the slow cooker!

Miller Mentoring - featured resource of the month:
Miller Mentoring is a an after-school program that pairs at-risk students in 5-12th grade with an adult mentor. Not only does the program boast improved academic standing of students, it also excels at enhancing the personal lives of both the participating students and mentors. Making a Difference award:

Ready Set School (RSS) is a non-profit that's making a big impact in our community! Going back to school should be an exciting time for both kids and their parents, but if we can't afford to fill our shopping cart with the school supplies that our kids need, it can be a stressful time. RSS is funded through donations and ensures that children have the necessary supplies and clothing for school. Students have to meet several guidelines before they can qualify for the voucher, which can be spent like a gift card at certain retailers.

We look forward to working with you to create a healthier Winona!

Sincerely,
Live Well Winona
