Winona Radio - featured resource of the month:
Winona Radio features five stations and has become a fixture of the Winona community, providing us with not only musical entertainment, but also news, sports and business information.  The radio also greatly supports local organizations by sponsoring events as well as providing free air time to individuals or groups, allowing them the opportunity to get out their information to the community.  We are grateful to have such a great resource available in the Winona Area!

Making a Difference award:

With the mission of "Creating a safer community by eliminating sexual and domestic violence", the Women's Resource Center has been making Winona safer since 1978. Today, the staff and volunteers at the center dedicate time and energy to ending domestic violence as well as any oppression of women and children.

The Women's Resource Center offers not only a 24 hour advocacy crisis line, but also advocacy for criminal and civil court cases and diversity advocacy. Along with the advocacy, the support group offered through the center helps women survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault.

Thank you to our intern Katie Lange for contributing this article! Read more.

We look forward to working with you to create a healthier Winona!

Sincerely,
