Because we are so thankful for the support of our Board of Directors, and the insight that they share with this organization, we want you to experience some of their thoughts! We developed a Board Blog where we have one member post each week. Follow their thoughts on healthy living.

  • Thank you to all our National Running Day participants who came out to celebrate with a leisure run and socializing over snacks.

  • Monthly challenge for June is the BK5k this weekend. Improve your 5k time and get special recognition!
  • Team Vogel vs Cancer 5k and 1 mile run/walk is June 23rd - register today!
  • Celebrate the 4th of July by doing the Stewartville Summerfest Runs, known for having the most diverse course in Southeast MN!
  • Don't forget the SMU Trail Scamper on July 28.

One reason kids may not be eating appropriately sized portions based on the recommended MyPlate serving sizes is that they may not recognize what a reasonable portion looks like. What does one-half cup of pasta look like? What about three ounces of chicken or two tablespoons of peanut butter?

Bluff Country Co-op - featured resource of the month:
Bluff Country Co-Op is our community owned, cooperatively run grocery store.  The organization has a co-op membership of 950 households and a staff of 25.  Priding itself on providing high quality, sustainably produced, regionally grown food and products to the Winona area, the organization also hopes to create a sense of community and inspire shoppers to build a sustainable local society. Visit their website for upcoming events and activities!
