My Dear Friends,

Welcome back! In choosing Holy Name Junior/Senior Central Catholic High School, you are demonstrating a commitment to the values and philosophy of a Catholic Education. We applaud your commitment and look forward, once again, to working with our students, families, and faculty at Holy Name. Our mission in working with you is to promote faith formation, academic excellence and stewardship of the world.   Together we promote spiritual and moral development in every student that is reflective of the belief that a Catholic education is an advantage for life.

In addition, inspired by the Gospel values and in a Christ centered environment, we also promote student success through challenging programs that meet the diverse learning needs and unique potential of each student. We at Holy Name aspire to provide the foundation for our students to become compassionate Catholic leaders of the future.

As we begin another academic year together, we pledge our determination to bear witness to those values that are central to our mission at Holy Name. We thank you for the confidence you place in our community to educate your sons and daughters. Be assured of our prayers and best wishes.

Meet our new Music Director, Ms. Jennifer Forleo

I am thrilled to be the new Music Director at Holy Name! I am originally from Rutland and am a graduate of Wachusett High School. I graduated from Northwestern University (Go 'Cats!) with a major in Music Education before teaching band for two years in the Midwest. I moved back to Central Massachusetts and taught for three more years before moving out to Nebraska to pursue graduate work. At the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, I served as a graduate assistant in the band program. My duties included assisting with and conducting the 290 member marching band; directing the pep bands, concert band, symphonic band, and wind ensemble; training the drum majors; and assisting with the advanced conducting course. I later joined the staff of St. Peter Claver College Preparatory School in Omaha, a member of the Cristo Rey National Network, where I taught band and choir. Unfortunately, the school closed down, and I moved back to Central Massachusetts. I am excited to be back home and close to my family and look forward to great years ahead as part of the Holy Name family.

Important Handbook Update:

Students who have serious illness or other serious circumstances that are impacting their ability to come to school on time or that need to attend doctor's appointments must be sure to get appropriate documentation from that professional for each day of tardiness or dismissal to the principal or assistant principal prior to the close of the quarter.

If the principal or assistant principal believe there

should be a waiver issued, it is within their discretion to do so.

Information presented after the close of the year will not be considered.
