Host Families Needed

School year 2012-2013

If you are interested in hosting an international student for the 2012-13 school year, please contact Paul Ravina in the Holy Name Guidance Office before the end of school in June. The guidance phone number is 508-753-3813. Hosting a student from another country can be a very rewarding experience. It can enrich and broaden the outlook of your own sons and daughters. Most of our international students come from China and South Korea, with a few from other countries. Medical insurance is provided, along with a stipend to offset the costs involved. Please consider hosting a student.

The Nacel International Program at Holy Name Jr/Sr High School is in need of host homes for students arriving in August 2012. They attend local Catholic Schools on F1 visas, to obtain a diploma and go on to college here in the US as well. The Nacel program is fully accredited and welcomes all types of families to apply. Students' families pay all the school related expenses. Students have insurance and spending money. Hosts provide a room with a desk, meals, some transportation and moral support and in return receive a generous monthly stipend. Please consider helping and contact Lyn Gordon with Nacel for information 508 892 8027 or studentprograms@hotmail.com. All inquiries will be replied to. Thank you - please check out our website as well:

T.E.S.S. The Exchange Students Service would like to meet families that would be interested in hosting an international student who will attend Holy Name High School. It is a great opportunity for your child to meet and live with a teenager from another culture and perhaps offset their tuition expenses. Each family will receive a generous, income tax-free monthly stipend.

If you are interested in discussing this opportunity, please call or email us. Ask for Ron Reisler. Prior experience as a host family is not necessary. We will conduct an in-person interview and all hosts must submit to a CORI questionnaire.

THANK YOU!

A great thank you to the parents, families, and the students of the Class of 2015 for all your help and support as well as for a fantastic year.  From your class moderators, Mrs. Yakstis and Mr. Marcotte!

To all in the Holy Name Family:

It seems impossible that this school year is so near to drawing to a close. I want to thank each of you for welcoming me into this wonderful school community. Every day I get to come to school and work with amazing Catholic, Christian colleagues and a student body that is truly second to none! On behalf of all of the administration, faculty, and staff I thank all of our parents and alumni for their constant help and support. It means so much to have so many working for the success of this wonderful Catholic school.

Please join me and Mr. Reynolds in wishing Mrs. Maurello a very blessed and enjoyable retirement. We thank her for her many years of service to both Holy Name and Catholic education. We will miss her very much at school, but she has left such a positive mark on this school her presence will be felt for many, many years to come. She has also promised us that she will not be a stranger so we can expect her to visit often!

Thanks also to our hardworking faculty and staff who have made sure your students have the excellent and faithful Catholic experience they do at Holy Name. We collaboratively work each day to ensure that your children receive the best possible education in an environment that is counter culture and support the Catholic morals and values that you work so hard to instill in your children.

We wish all of you a very blessed summer vacation and we look forward to seeing you all again next year as we welcome many new members to our Holy Name family as well.

God Bless You and Yours,

Dr. Audette
