Once again Holy Name students have shown their creativity and compassion for others.  The following students have won awards in the Uproot Poverty Multimedia contest:

Entries from Holy Name seniors which received Honorable Mentions at the Diocesan level are:

Grade 12 Peter Russo, Delaney Perry, Alyssa Cariglio, Kristina Sullivan, Brittany Driscoll, An Original Song on Audiotape, "We Seek the End"

 

The following students received a twenty-five dollar cash prize and award certificate. The first place winners will move on to the national contest.

  

In the grade 10 - 12 division second place winner at the Diocesan level was garnered by

Senior Liz Callan for her illustrated fictional memoir, "End the Cycle."

 

In the grade 10 -12 division the first place winners at the Diocesan level and moving on to the national contest with their DVD infomercial with original background music, "Poverty Through the Eyes of a Teen," are:

Three award winning students were selected to participate on the cable television show "Conversations with Bishop McManus".  These three students were Alyssa Maglione, Liz Callan and Aaron Emusu (grade 9).

Adopt-A-Student Recognition Awards

and Scholarships 

Holy Name is proud to announce the following Adopt-A-Student Recognition and Scholarship award winners for the class of 2012.
 
John Soltys:
The 2012 Bill and Kay O'Brien Award for Best Exemplifying the Values of the Adopt-A-Student Program.
 
This award is given to the Adopt-A-Student recipient who has consistently lived up to the values of the Adopt-A-Student program by demonstrating commitment to the ideals of education, faith, service and leadership.
 
John is also the recipient of a 4-year scholarship to Assumption College.
 
Catherine Kooyomjian
The 2012 Paul and Dorothy Kervick Award for Leadership
 
This award is given to the Adopt-A-Student recipient who has taken the initiative and demonstrated leadership in the school, Church or Community.
 
Lisa Martinez-Cape
Lisa is the recipient of a 4 year award to Anna Maria College.


  

HOLY NAME AFTER SENIOR PROM PARTY

 

Thank you to  the After-Prom Party Committee
and everyone who donated their time or items to this highly successful event.  The students had a great time!
 

 

 

 

Book Returns
 
Seniors, who return their books by May 16th, will receive their payments on May 23rd.  Seniors will receive their payments in the form of cash unless a parent requests a credit to be given to a sibling or a check made out to the parent.
 
 
   
Baccalaureate
 
This year's baccalaureate will be held at Holy Family/ St. Joseph's Church, 35 Hamilton St, Worcester on May 22nd at 7pm.  This is a mass.  Please remember no drinks, food or gum should be brought into the church.
 
GRADUATION
 
Graduation will be held on May 24th at 7pm in the DCU Center, 50 Foster St, Worcester.
 
 
Seniors may pick up their graduation invitations in the business office.
