Important Guidance Department Meetings

This month the Holy Name Guidance Department is holding some very important meetings for parents of our Juniors.  On November 21st there will be a College Information Night.  Learn about all aspects of the college search and application process at this meeting.  You will also hear about an SAT preparation class that will be offered at Holy Name! This will be at 7 pm in the auditorium.

The second meeting is on November 29th at 7 pm in our cafeteria. This meeting will be focused on the Financial Aid Process and will be hosted by MEFA, The Massachusetts Educational Finance Agency.  This will be a hands-on introduction to the financial aid process.

Please consider attending these two very important meetings.  These meetings are aimed at parents of our Juniors, but are certainly open to all parents of any of our students.
REMINDER: Parent/Teacher Conferences!

Parent/teacher conferences will be on November 17th from 6 to 8:30 pm and on November 18th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.  Please note that on November 18th school will be dismissed at 10:49 am. No appointments are necessary.  Teachers will see parents on a first come, first serve basis.

Ministry Program Well Under Way at Holy Name!

* Counter-culture: Consider better ways of living and educate others about these different perspectives.

* Liturgy Team: Prepare for, and serve in, school Masses.

* Big Brother/Big Sister: Adopt a classroom at Union Hill School for mentoring and tutoring.

* Animal Rescue:  Raise awareness concerning abandoned animals and volunteer at animal shelters.

* Yellow Ribbon Group: Support our troops through letter writing and care packages.

* Youth Literacy: Help children learn to read at St. Agnes Guild.

Holy Name Establishes a Food Pantry

Holy Name's new food pantry needs your help.  One of the ministry programs is the establishment of a food pantry at Holy Name to help anyone in need from our school and neighborhood community.  In order to fulfill our mission we need your help in filling our pantry with donations.  We are asking for donations of all types of healthy, nutritious non-perishable foods.  We have several donation boxes throughout the school and we ask the support of the greater Holy Name School community to help us with our food ministry program.
