Creating a Culture of Accountability

Accountability is a hot issue today as organizations face competing priorities and challenges in executing our goals. Most businesses are facing increasing demands without the luxury of additional skilled resources to meet those demands.

Leaders are often faced with the challenges that are created by a lack of accountability. As a WBE, your reputation will hinge on your ability to be accountable in order meet your customer expectations. Creating a Culture of Accountability outlines the individual process that leads from accepting responsibility to self-empowerment to take personal action and finally to answering for the outcome through increased accountability.

You will learn:

  • tools to apply to your own accountability,
  • what to expect when working with vendors, customers and employees

The bottom line is - if you want better results, focus on improving accountability

CAPABILITIES STATEMENT WORKSHOP

Capabilities Statement Workshop

May 10, 2012

10 a.m. to noon

Does your company have a Capabilities Statement? A Capabilities Statement tells potential clients who you are, what you do and how you are different from your competitors. A Capabilities Statement is a critical tool in government contracting, no matter what size company you represent. Many government agencies require that a Capabilities Statement be submitted with bids. Today, more major corporations are requiring this "company snapshot" in order to gain a quicker understanding of your products/services and what sets your business apart.

Join us on May 10th, for the Women's Business Council-Southwest's first Capabilities Statement workshop of 2012. You'll learn what format will work best for your business and what content it will require such as:

  • Core competencies
  • Past performance
  • Differentiators
  • Corporate data

This workshop will be facilitated by Kathy Garland, president of Kathy Garland International and a panel of WBE members.

Invitations will go out in April.

WBENC NATIONAL CONFERENCE
 will be in Orlando Florida
June 19-21, 2012

Attendees will have access to opportunities that connect WBENC-Certified WBEs, WBENC Corporate Members, Regional Partner Organization (RPO) leaders, RPO Corporate Members, government agency representatives and small business owners.

Registration is now open.
SUMMIT & SALUTE
WBENC's 2012 Summit & Salute will take place on March 21-22, 2012 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, Baltimore, MD.

The Summit provides networking environments conducive to business. And the Salute honors WBENC's award-winning Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) Stars for their achievements and leadership, and also pays tribute to America's Top Corporations for Women's Business Enterprises.
