POWER TO POTENTIAL EVENT RECAP |
Thank you to everyone that attended our Power to Potential Event on Tuesday, November 8th at CityPlace. We had a great turnout with over 300 attendees. The afternoon was filled with workshops, corporate roundtables and the Done Deals™ Awards Ceremony.
We thank our event volunteers for helping us make this event such a success!
DONE DEALS AWARD WINNERS
The Momentum Award goes to the company with the highest percent increase of WBCS WBE vendors. With an 80% increase over last year, this year's winner is Energy Future Holdings.
The Women Working Together Award recognizes an outstanding Done Deal between WBCS WBE members. This year's award goes to Integrated Human Capital and Trans-Expedite. They met four years ago at a WBCS regional event.
When Trans-Expedite acquired S2GA, a company that specializes in testing and re-work for the electronics industry, there was the need for additional staffing to support various projects. Temporary personnel for these projects were needed in Austin, El Paso and Juarez, Mexico. Integrated Human Capital was able to fill the positions in all the markets and within a few days.
The Sustaining Champion Award goes to an outstanding individual (executive, buyer or supplier diversity professional) employed by a Sustaining (Corporate) Member company, who was instrumental in securing business for a WBCS WBE. This year's winner is Lynn Scott, Executive Director of Supplier Diversity for Alcatel-Lucent. Tammy Ellis, Vice President of LinkEx shared her story on how Lynn guided her through the procurement process, to securing that "Done Deal". |

Integration of Traditional & Digital Marketing Strategies
Please join us as Kirsten Cutshall, President and Jenna Overbeck, Public Relations Specialist from Steel Advertising educate us about one of the most important aspects of business today.
Social media is an imperative part of a brand's marketing toolkit. As marketers continue to bridge the gap between traditional and digital media strategies, brands no longer have the choice to remain silent and disengaged.
Conversations that are relevant to your company, product or brand are taking place all around us - both online and offline. As a brand ambassador, you need to be aware of what your target audience thinks and is saying about your company.
In this session, Steel executives will prove that the same marketing techniques still apply as they did 10 years ago, and how you can communicate and have a voice in today's two-way conversation of marketing.
Deadline to Register for this Event is November 24, 2011 |
