POWER TO POTENTIAL

Share the Knowledge, Ignite the Deal ... Power to Potential is a popular procurement event the WBCS offers each year giving attendees what they want... MORE BUSINESS!  This event highlights top performers in the Done Deals™ program, corporate roundtables that give WBEs a preview of a company's engagement process, break-out sessions on business-related topics and plenty of opportunities to network and make connections.

Changes this year!

  • New location!  WBCS will host Power to Potential at CityPlace Conference and Event Center (2711 N. Haskell Avenue, Dallas, TX 75204)
  • The WBCS annual meeting will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the beginning of the general session
  • There will be no supplier-to-buyer appointments.  Instead ... we are repeating the corporate roundtable sessions that were so popular at businessWORKS!
  • Participants attending break-out sessions will receive ISM Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) and a certificate of achievement at the end of each session
  • Break-out sessions occur once; they do not repeat
 AUSTIN EXPANSION

austinribboncutting

We opened our Austin Satellite office on May 17th in conjunction with a Ribbon Cutting Reception. With over 100 people in attendance it was a great way to introduce Austin to the WBCS.

"With the largest number of women business owners outside of the DFW area, Austin was the right place to open our first satellite office," said Debbie Hurst, WBCS President.

Debbie Barnard, WBCS Austin Program Manager, is responsible for business development and outreach activities in the Austin area.

"This expansion will allow us to grow while we continue to provide mutually beneficial procurement opportunities to our Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs) and major corporations throughout the region," said Barnard.
