Letting the Path Find You

Greetings!

February is a month of firsts for me here at Art & Soul Acting: You see before you my very first Newsletter, and, after having launched just a little over 3 months ago, my first acting class kicks off on February 9th!  Very exciting.

Below, you'll find news about class, my Book Club for Actors and even who is up to what.

Looking forward to seeing you soon at an Art & Soul Acting event!

Blessings,

Rhonda

What's Going on with Acting Class?Mastery

I'm so glad you asked!  Here's the news:

Training & Expansion

Wednesdays, 6-10pm

February 9-April 13

10 Sessions

NYC Midtown Studio
$550

Acting is a tactile skill that demands active participation and practice in order to achieve learning and mastery. The format of this class is designed for optimum student participation. Including a group warm up, each session brings together a series of powerful core acting exercises along with individual work slots. Students will ultimately choose the material they will work on, but they are also given guidance to ensure that their material suits where they are individually in the learning and growth process.

For their individual slots, students will have the opportunity to work on the following material:

  • Scenes
  • Monolouges
  • Cold Readings
  • Audition Prep
  • Warm-Up Creation
  • Solution Focused Breakdown

Class size is kept small so that participants have time to be up on their feet working, making mistakes, learning from their mistakes and growing into ever more powerful actors.

What's Up with the Book Club?Engage

A lot, especially if you're around on February 7th:

On Monday, February 7, we're gearing up to discuss the eloquently moving plays of Sarah Ruhl.  If you haven't yet fallen into the world of these rich and gorgeous plays... run, don't walk.  Sarah Ruhl's plays will leave you with arms wrapped around the wonders of life itself.

WHEN:Monday, February 7th, 7-9 p.m.

WHERE:East Village Location... will be e-mailed with RSVP confirmation

Choose and read any play written by

Sarah Ruhl.  My suggestion is to choose something that you don't already know... and, of course, feel free to read more than one play!  Be ready to share what you have discovered about this amazing playwright so we can all learn and grow together.  Looking forward to it!

There's still time to RSVP!
