During 2011 we raised over $1200 in 50/50 tickets, toot for a toonies, the Christmas silent auction and cash or merchandise donations,  which is an incredible amount for our group.  Thanks to everyone who has bought a ticket, tooted an event or donated we are inspired by what a group can do when they decide to help out.

A few highlights of the things that were bought or donated this year include:

2 pairs of Rollerblades for busy girls to get out on

Cool cuddle blankets to wrap up in on the cool nights

Family games that everyone can play

A Barbie Rockstar guitar

New outfits for everyone to celebrate Christmas

New PJs for all

New toques and mitts for all

Justin Bieber items for big fans

Craft items for everyone to work on during the cool winter days, and at least a couple of books for each young girl

And a new Christmas stocking for each child

And for mom, a care package of small items including jewelry, household items, a couple of nice Christmas ornaments and a $100 gift card to buy herself something at Bower Mall.

Thanks again to all our members and guests for everything that you give to Independent Achievers that allows us to make this Family Adoption possible.   In addition to the Adopt a Family we have made a donation on behalf of our members to the Christmas Bureau for $400.  The Christmas Bureau is currently working hard to fill the gap with gifts for teenagers who tend to be overlooked.

On behalf of the board, I want to express my thanks for all your contributions throughout the year, your energy, drive and commitments to keep Independent Achievers going is greatly appreciated and we look forward to a wonderful 2012 (that makes 20 years everyone).
