Good Morning Greetings!   

 

I have exciting news for you!!!  We have the information on our Adopt a Family.  If you are interested in helping this family out then have scroll down just a little further for information on the family and how you can help.
 
Our Adopt A Family Details!!!!

 

Wow, we have been given the Adopt a Family details early this year which is great because you can start shopping a bit early and be ready for the December IA lunch social.  

 

This year Women's Outreach has included a minimum gift card of $50 for mom instead of specific items.  She has indicated a preference for Bower Mall for this.

 

We will also be providing gift cards for groceries for Superstore.

 

No food allergies or dietary restrictions have been indicated.

 

So in addition to the mom for our family we have 3 little girls age 3, 7 and 9.

 

For our 3 year old EMMA, the wish list and ideas include:  books, dolls, Barbie's and coloring stuff.  The favorite character is listed as 'princess' so I' m sure there is lots of stuff to choose from.  She is in a size 4 for clothes, a 10 shoe size, is right handed and is in a twin bed.

 

Our 7 year old MYA, the wish list includes: MP3 players, books, roller blades, painting and drawing items.  She appears to be very interested in Justin Bieber at this stage.  She is in a size 8 for clothes, a 2 ½  shoe size, is right handed and is in a twin bed.

 

Our 9 year old R'LYNNE, the wish list includes: MP3 players, books, roller blades, and sewing items.  She appears to be very interested in Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber at this stage.  She is in a size 10 for clothes, a 3  shoe size, is right handed and is in a twin bed.

 

Last year we were able to do up stockings for everyone, so if you have smaller items that can be used for those please bring them along.  Audrey will be on the lookout for some inexpensive stockings to put it all into.

 

If you are going to bring a wrapped item please make sure that you have a 'sticky note' on it with a description of the item that is inside and who  it is from (will be removed before going to the family).  This allows us to know what items still need to be purchased and what we already have.  Last year we ended up with a couple items that were unwrapped because we did not know what was in them, when a note and a name to clarify what the item was would have been easier.

 

Just a reminder that all the silent auction proceeds from the December lunch will also be used for the Adopt a Family, so feel free to bring something to auction off in addition to, or instead of your gift items for the young girls.

 

There is something to work on that is about doing for others , and so it definitely feels like the Christmas season has now started.

Coffee Club - Member's Special Privilege

 

Do you have some free time today and wish you had a group of ladies to join you for coffee?  Well join our coffee club today and you will receive notifications on when other coffee club members are going for coffee and where, or send out an email to other members and invite them to join you for coffee.

 

If you are interested in participating in the coffee club please:

 

  • Email Audrey at audrey@integratedfinancial.ca to get your name on the contact list;
  • Remember that this is a casual atmosphere and there is no obligation for you to attend every coffee meeting;
  • Once you sign up other members will not have access to your personal email but a general group email that forwards to all participating members;
  • If you are the Coffee Member suggesting a meeting time and place we strongly suggest that you provide your information for other members to RSVP to.  Otherwise, you will not receive any information on whether or not anyone is coming; and
  • When you send your participating RSVP back to the coffee member who suggested a coffee time and place the only information provide to that member will be your name, once again your personal email or information will not be given out. 

 

We are currently working on getting the email address up and ready to use, once we have a list of participants we will provide all with the necessary information needed to participate. 

 
Business Card Swap

 

The business card swap is a great opportunity for you to meet other Independent Achiever members on a "One on One" basis.  

 

It's easy to participate, all you have to do is drop your business card in the Business Card Swap box at our next Lunch meeting and when you leave the meeting you grab a business card out (not your own) and contact that individual for a coffee, lunch or even dinner.  You will also have another member contact you for a one on one meeting, so you are getting two, one on one networking meetings a month if you wish to participate.

Coffee & Dessert Sponsorship Opportunities

 

 

So what does a Dessert and Coffee Sponsor get?

 

  • The sponsor has the ability to put a small display or table tent on each lunch table with a promotional piece.
  • The sponsor will have an 8 1/2 X 11" display card placed with our Dessert and Coffee table.  They are also allowed to place some additional display materials on the Dessert table.
  • Your business will be highlighted with the Lunch Reminder notice when it is sent out, and the weekly announcements.
  • And last but not least, your sponsorship includes a '2 minute spotlight' chance to speak during the lunch itself (this may be adjusted if a guest speaker is on).

 

All this for only $50!

Silent Auction in Support of Women's Outreach Adopt a Family 

 

The meeting officially runs from Noon-1PM - but we encourage you to come as early as 11:40 to get settled and you are welcome to stay after the meeting to network informally on your own.

 

Reservations for lunch will be coordinated through our new Reservations coordinator Suzanne Morgan via our new dedicated email address reservations@independentachievers.com

 

When making a reservation, adding a guest or cancelling your reservation, please contact the Reservation Coordinator before noon Monday September 5th.  Guests can print out this GUEST CARD and bring it with them.

If anyone is interested in donating a Silent Auction item for the December Lunch with the proceeds going to Women's Outreach Adopt a Family program, please contact Audrey at audrey@integratedfinancial.ca for more information.
