Good Morning Greetings!

WOW, can you believe it June is here already and we are getting set for elections at the luncheon next week.

I am incredibly proud of all the work that has been done since last September when we formed a board for the 2010-2011 term. The women who agreed to step up this past year have helped us transition and breath new life into the group. They have all worked incredibly hard to streamline some of the administration, grow our membership and our presence through the community and face the challenges of an evolving group and I am so thrilled to have been able to work with everyone this year and see the progress that has been made.

So while we have had an incredible year, there are several of our board members who are looking to move away from the IA board to pursue other personal and business opportunities, and would like to have someone step into their roles.

Traditionally, the June election meeting has been poorly attended (you can't get nominated if you're not there) and I would really like to see this election break that mold. There are lots of roles and ways that you can help out even if you cannot commit to every meeting or taking a position on the executive, and I hope you will consider that as you decide whether to come next week or not.

Let's Golf, but no experience required!

We have once again booked the Riverbend Golf Course for our annual social this summer.

We will be holding the Texas shotgun on the mini links on:

Tuesday August 23 at 5:30- so please save the date now in your daytimer.

We are hoping that by moving the date to the end of August, we will catch most people winding down summer holidays and gearing back up for regular days (most schools will go back the following week). We also think it will be a great fall kick off for the New IA Year.

For those of you new to our Summer Golf, please note that no golf experience is required, we are playing for fun. We can even help you find some clubs if you need some.

We would love your Prizes

One of the highlights of the golf evening is always the wonderful prizes that we have. In the past we have been able to ensure that all participants have a prize when they go home. So if you can help out by supplying a prize for the event, or helping get prizes for the event we would greatly appreciate it.

Prizes can be brought to the June Election meeting.

An Integrated Financial Education Event

Integrated Financial Services will be hosing a education event designed specifically for clients who are mortgage free.

Presentations will be done by the RCMP Fraudulent Unit, First Canadian Title and Manulife Bank

Next Meeting

Our next meeting date is Thursday June 9, 2011 at the Holiday Inn on 67th Street. We will be holding our general meeting and elections, with informal networking to follow.

We are required to book our meal and confirm attendance

with the Holiday Inn prior to the meeting.

We therefore need you to let us know that you are coming.

We are going to streamline our lunch reservation system by having all confimations go through the Independent Achievers email. We are asking that you please send your lunch reservation to reservations@independentachievers.com directly.

This will help our reservation coordinator keep all the information in one place and give her one stop to check on numbers before placing our hotel booking. This email address is only intended for lunch reservations. Please do not send general inquiries to it as it will not be monitored during the rest of the month.
